RIP Laurent my deepest sympathy to the Fignon family on the loss of such a magnificant man. You were an inspiration
to millions and I am so sad you have lost your battle with cancer at just 50 years of age. I was fortunate enough to have met Laurent briefly after he had just arrived in Ireland to ride a Nissan Classis many years ago, I was standing outside a hotel near Dublin airport, Ireland and he stepped out of a courtesy car and smiled at me I wish I had managed to get an autograph at the time but I am so pleased to have had the chance to see you in person and will keep this memory of you. RIP Laurent.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. Take comfort in the words of Isaiah 25:8, 9

May the God of all comfort, bring comfort to the family and friends of Laurent. We can all look forward to the time when everyone in God's memory will rise and death will be no more because God promises that the formal things like death, will pass away.
