I visited Shanksville with my kids and wife on 8/08/11 before it was officially opened. A moving tribute to those who perished there, in NYC and DC that momentous Tuesday morning. Today 2/21/13, I had an hour before my next sales appointment and thought I'd cruise through a cemetery I was passing by for some quiet reflection. I know no one here at William Penn Cemetery, but on my way out, your tombstone caught my eye and after a google search connected date with the event. Please know that your sacrifice, your name, will be the name and personal connection for me from now on to those horrid events of 09/11/2001. May you rest in peace and know you are remembered, even by those who never knew you. God Bless

I have visited the site in Shanksville a few times. While there was a make-shift memorial, I saw your photograph with some flowers. The beautiful face in the photo has never left my mind. I did not know you, but will always remember you. Rest in peace, beautiful lady.

I did a motorcycle ride on 9/10-9/11/11 to Shanksville and carried a flag bearing Lorraine's name. We raised $250,000 for the memorial site. I will never forget any of the 40 fallen and hold a special place in my heart especially for Lorraine. God bless you and thank you Lorraine.

A lady from my church had bracelets made with the names of victims from 9/11. I received one with Lorraine Bay's name on it. I still wear it on 9/11. I just wanted her family to know that.

You are a hero

On 09/11/11, I will be honoring the life of Lorraine G. Bay on Facebook. I want her family to know that she is still locked firmly in the hearts and minds of so many people. May God bless all of you and bring you peace.
