I first fell in love with Luther Vandross's music when he released the Never Too Much album and I went to see him at the Capitol Center in Largo Md and it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen and from that night on, I was hooked. He had the stage set up to every song and he sounded FANTASTIC! This was in 1983 and I was 20 years old and everytime he came close to my area I was there. I took my 4 year old daughter to see him and then my son after he was born went with me twice.I got married on August 23,1986 and we went to see Luther in concert on August 24th. I even had the privelege of talking to him on the phone when he was in WHUR's radio station. Luther and my husband were born on the same day,April 20 but he was born 4 years earlier than my husband. I miss Luther so much and it just broke my heart when he died. There will never be another like him. RIP my dear Luther, from your number 1 fan!
