We knew Mike for about 5 years. We met through a mutual friend, Kenny B. We (Wife and I)were from OH,so we shared a Midwest upbringing. Mike got me a job working with him for VAP in Tucson. He and daughter Ursula would come over and visit. He was a good father. He was interested in the art scene in Tucson at the time through my wife's involvement. We bought his painting easle from Wayne State days off of him as it was nicer than what we had. He would sit in sometimes on drums with Kirby and me as we rehearsed at his house, as we combined PA equipment. He recorded a band I had with a friend's 4 track. I would repair his tilt steering wheel on a multitude of Chevys. I do not know how he did not suffer back damage from putting his Ampeg SVT head in the back seat of one of his Camaros.
