Having served in the US Army for over 15 years, I continue to be very patriotic and emotional, both happy and angry. I absolutely support and defend the memories and actions of our fallen heroes, not to mention those who still serve. Michael's actions (now, his story) moved me tremendously. I saw the movie "Murph, The Protector", and it brought me to tears. While I was deployed in support of OIF/OEF in 2005-2006, my job was direct support of JSOC and their operators. I don't know for certain if I met Michael or any of his team members (in Qatar)..... These words don't seem to be grasping my deepest feelings, the pain, the anger, the sorrow, the pride or love I feel for the community of men that Michael belongs to. True heroes wear dog tags. With every beat of my heart, I thank you Michael for your decision to defend me every day of your life, and I thank every other man who does that same job still today. I love and respect you all. Thank you for your bravery, your courage and your sacrifice. I will never forget. And I know that Michael still defends and stands watch today, with his brothers-in-arms....
