Nancy Lawrence Bush

Dr. Nancy Lawrence Bush passed away Tuesday April 23, 2013 at the age of 66. Told at 14 she wouldn’t live to graduate high school, Nancy completed her Bachelor’s in 18th century British Literature at Russell Sage College in 1969. She received her Master’s degree in International Business from Manhattan College in 1983 and her Doctorate of Business Administration from US International University in 2000. She leaves behind her three daughters Marion Joyce, Heather Rebecca, and Leah Elizabeth, her sons-in-law Major Robert DeGraffenreid and Gary Dilworth. She also leaves behind the joys of her life, her grandsons Thomas Connor and Kai Aiden — both of whom she spoiled thoroughly. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Garland, and her brother, Christopher Bush. She died doing what she loved most, working with a student in her office at Wingate University. Her legacy of dedication, love, and stubborn resilience will live on in her wake. Memorial Service to be held at 3 pm on Saturday April 27th at the pond in front of Stegall at Wingate University (rain location to be Cutty Arena at Wingate University); all are welcome.
