I was very moved when I first heard of Pat's tremendous sacrifice. And that was just when I heard of him giving up the comfy life as an NFL player to go with his brother to the Army Rangers. This...is more than words can say. The only reason I have the freedom to drink my morning coffee and read the morning paper in comfort is because of Pat Tillman and others like him.
I will live another day to go camping in the mountains or enjoy another night out on the town because of you. You showed what it means to truly put service and country above yourself. Your wife, brother, parents, and friends must be proud to have known you. We thank you.
