I am proud of what you did for our country and saddened for your family. As an ex-serviceman and now a police officer my heart is filled with pride and sorrow. You and your wife will always have a special place in our memories. Too many athletes are called heroes simply because they have a special gift. You had that gift and put it on hold to become a true hero, in every sense of the word you are a hero and a great man. RIP. We will all miss you. America will miss you.
