I remember a friend of mine giving me a mixtape of Stooges songs back in high school. I'd never heard them and it blew my mind. I wore that tape out.

The guitar playing was, for me, even more central than Iggy's vocals. Primitive, battering away at riffs, pounding like a hammer and slashing like a razor.

TV Eye is the one that starts playing in my head as I think about it. What great guitar playing.
