Ron, you will be greatly missed by all of the NHL Community and especially by Wendy and myself, our relationship goes back to my Junior days in Montreal to joining you in St.Louis. The positive experience of knowing you for so long will live with me forever.
We ask you, O God, to be our quiet strength and consolation. (from a St. Louis Blues Hockey Fan)
Sorry to hear of your loss. I met Mr. Caron in the late 1960's when some of my teammates and I at Boston University used to go to Providence to see the Montreal Voyageurs.
A few years later two of my teammates were Canadian draft picks. I was manager of the team but the manager held a different connotation than it did in Canada. One afternoon as "Team Manager" I got a call in my dorm room from Ron inquiring about the progress of our guys. We had a good laugh and later that year (1972) he arranged for a game between our team and a Jr. All Star team in Montreal. It was the only time I visited the hallowed forum.
Rest in Peace Mr. Caron and may fond memories and faith sustain your family in the days and months to follow.
The great respect and wonderful stories will be greatly missed by all in the hockey world. My late, father Ernie Mundey who was a good friend of your is waiting to hear some. Rest in Peace Prof.
To the family of Ron Caron, my sympathy for the loss of your beloved one. May the God of all comfort strengthen you at this time of sorrow. Erma L. Davis, Park Forest, IL.
