Ruth Stone was one of the first poets I discovered by myself--no teacher, no sister, no friend, no mentor suggested I read her. I have followed her for years, love her work and take great inspiration from what she made of her life and the work that she left for us to read. Thank you, Ruth Stone, and blessings and condolences to her family.

I was very happy to meet Ruth through the VT League of Writers, after not knowing each other through our years in Goshen. I appreciated her inspirational response to my poems. I hope to follow her example!
