My condolences go out to you and your family on the lost of a very good man. I had the pleasure of working with him and he will be missed. My prayers are with you and for you.

Condolences to the Moyer family. I first met Chief Justice Moyer when he was an assistant to Governor Rhodes. I was impressed with his professionalism and demeanor and he was respected by his peers. Again, my deepest sympathy to his family and friends on their loss.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

I see tears fall down your face

When your thoughts have turned to me.

Just know that I’m in heaven,

With my Lord, who’s set me free.

No pain or sadness do I feel,

For God is by my side.

The beauty here in Heaven

Is now where I reside.

I know it’s hard for you to cope

For you can’t feel my touch.

But every moment, I can see

And love you very much.

When you are at your lowest

And feel you can’t go on,

Look towards the heavens

The light will be turned on.

Talk to me, just like you did

On earth when I was there.

You see, I’m not so far away …

Only as far as a prayer.

And when it’s time for you to join

Me up in Heaven above.

It’s then that you will realize,

The Golden Place of love.

For here there is no sadness,

Just everlasting light.

Someday we will be joined again,

When it’s time to take your flight.

My sympathy is extended to Mrs. Moyer and all the family in this time of sorrow. When I was an educator in the Columbus Public Schools, Thomas Moyer was an exceptionally dedicated and wise member of the Board of Education. His distinguished career as Chief Justice is further evidence of his leadership, judgment, wisdom, and respect for others. Please accept my sincere condolences.

My dear Mrs. Moyer, Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your distinguished husband, Chief Justice Moyer. When I joined the Conference of Chief Justices in 1998 he went out of his way to make me feel welcome. Throughout my ten year tenure, I always looked to Tom for leadership and sound judgment. As a Kentuckian, I felt a special bond with my colleague accross the river. He was a great gentleman and warm friend. Joseph E. Lambert, Chief Justice (retired) of Kentucky

To Chief Justice Moyer's loved ones: May you find comfort not only in fond memories of this wonderful man but also in the certainty that Thomas Moyer left this state, indeed this world, in a better place because of all that he did. I have long looked up to him as a mentor and role model. We are blessed to have had his wisdom, wit and kindness for as long as we did. How I wish that those blessings would have continued much longer. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Mary, The Chief was a great Chief Justice and an even better man. I consider it a true honor to have known him and learned from him. I'm incredibly sorry for your loss...you and your family are in the thoughts and prayers of our family.

For Thomas...

WEEP NOT FOR ME

Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.

Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.

I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.

Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.

Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.

Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.
