Paul was just a great human being and the type of person you wanted to be around. I feel very fortunate to have been one of his many friends!

Hey "Old Boy" you will be missed.

Rest in Peace old friend. Paul was a passionate advocate for military veterans and retirees and was one of the founding Fathers of the Military Retiree Councils of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont that supported military retirees in the region. Until the last day I saw him at my own Military Retirement in 2012 Paul was never able to express his own wartime experience with mournful tears. He was a wonderful gentleman with a very quit wit who would give you the shirt of his own back if you needed it. He was a powerful mentor to me and I have missed the days when he would drop in my office unexpectedly "just to brighten my day". Paul.....I never had to tell you....but you always brightened my days and had a knack of dropping in when my days truly needed to be brightened. Paul.....you loved your God, your Family, your Country and your Military Veterans and you served them all with great dedication and commitment. Rest in Peace my friend and I'm sure you will have a loving welcome at the Pearly Gates of Heaven. Lloyd

I met Paul Blacketor years ago at a restaurant and we would occasionally run into one another there and have lunch. He was such a pleasant and interesting person, and I can only hope to someday make even a fraction of the impact that he did.
