Paul Sistrunk Obituary

Paul R. Sistrunk, 64, of Moss Point, MS passed away at his home on October 15, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born on October 26,1948 in Crystal Springs, MS. He retired in 2000 as a Fire Captain with the Pascagoula Fire Department after 27 years of dedicated service. He was an avid fisherman and was passionate about all of his musical talents, especially playing the guitar.
He was preceded in death by his father, B.J. Sistrunk and his brother Ronald "Ronny" Sistrunk.
He is survived by his children, Con (Rose) Sistrunk and Tara Sistrunk all of Gautier, his mother Flora Sistrunk, his sister Teresa Cook, his brother Victor Sistrunk of all of Escatawpa, his grandchildren Connor and Brodie of Gautier.
He will also sadly missed by his very special friend and mother of his children, Sandra McLeod, and his "lil dogs", Foxy, Mack, Coal and George. Other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday October 19, 2013 from 10:00 am to 12:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa/ Moss Point, MS. Funeral service will begin at 12:00pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim Mains officiating.
Burial will follow in Serene Memorial Gardens cemetery in Moss Point.
Pascagoula Fire Department Personnel will render honors and serve as pallbearers.
Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa/ Moss Point, MS is in charge of arrangements. You may view and sign an online register book for Paul at www.heritagefuneralhome.us

Paul was helpful in the building of our house in Pascagoula in 2001. I am sorry he was called away, but he is in a better place and you have good memories of good times. I will pray for you, the family.
