HARLAN — Cecial Anderson 98, of Harlan, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 22, 2018 at her residence. She was born March 31, 1919 in Oliver Springs, TN. Cecial was the former owner/operator of the Anderson's Grocery. She was also a faithful member of the Kelly Street Baptist Church.
Her husband; Willie Anderson; her parents, Hugh & Minnie Rodd; her brothers; Hubert, Ed, & Emmitt Roddy and her sisters; Ruby Johnson, Susan Greene & Ollie Stevenson precede her in death.
Survivors include her children; Bill Anderson & wife, Sharon of Emerald Isle, NC, Linda Thomas & husband, Mitch of Kingsport, TN, Barbara Hensley & husband, Bennie of Harlan & Roger Anderson & wife, Debbie of Harlan. He nine grandchildren, Jimmy Holbrook, Missy Holbrook Witt, Jeff Anderson, Ginger Farley, Steven Lewis, Whitney McPeek, Seth Thomas, Wendy Strader & Kelly Daniels. Her nine step-grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and numerous step-great grandchildren & extended family. Her brother; John Roddy of Georgia; her sister; Mary Sparks of Lexington and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 7 - PM in the Chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Adkisson & the Rev. Brent Lively officiating. Visitation will be after 5 - PM Thursday until the funeral hour. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11- AM at the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Roger, I just saw that your Mother has passed. I am so sorry for your loss. It's very hard to let our Mothrts go.

Cecil was a wonderful woman who was loved by many. She was so kind, had a heart of giving, and she will be missed. Heaven has been made sweeter because of her presence there. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
