To the Wendelstedt family,
I met Harry about 21 years ago at a cleaners I worked at for about 13 years, He was a regular customer I saw him on a weekly basis and was a great man with a big heart. Always had kind words to share and always a smile on his face. May God grant you peace during your time of loss and I know heaven is rejoicing as a wonderful man has went home.

We lost a great man and a dear friend. My condolences to the family. I cared a lot for Harry as a client but most of all a dear, dear friend. I will miss our coffee times during the Umpire School at the LaPlaya and other hotels I had the pleasure of working with Harry and Hunter.

R.I.P. my friend with no more pain. The Lord has taken a bigger than life man into his arms and wants him to work the plate on the biggest stage of all, heaven. God, only selects the best.
I thank you, Mr. Wendelstedt for providing me the opportunity to begin my career in umpiring, getting a chance to be on your Umpire School staff, and to learn about how to enjoy all what the great game of baseball can bring. Every umpire that I know will take a piece of you in his heart for the rest of their lives.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I went to the Umpire school and graduated in 1986. It was a great experience, and a thrill to have met such a great man.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Mr. Wendelstedt as a great dad, who would often stop by the kindergarten to check on his children. I know he will be missed greatly by the community as well as family and friends. Sincerely, Donna and Jay Bushnell

As a former Graduate of Harry's school, I can say that he expected the very best of his umpires and the Motto "If you can Umpire here you can Umpire any where" meant alot to me. That school certainly made me a better Umpire and very confident in working any game. Thanks to Harry's school I have umpired games only a few umpires get to umpire. Thank you Harry for opening doors that I will never forget.

Harry was a great man. He gave back to the community that he lived in and that is a rare and admirable trait that seems to be disappearing these days. May peace be with the family as he will certainly find his reward in heaven.
