Omg, I am just now finding out about this because I went to El Sombrero to have lunch for my birthday yesterday and saw it was closed. So I researched and found this devastaing news. I knew Eddie well from The Lily Lake. He was such an amazing person. I loved seeing him and catching up with him at the Bridal Fairs. I am so sorry for your loss. I never realized we shared the same birthday and we were the same age. I will truly miss him.

We've been to El Sombrero many times and if Eddie was there…. he made it a point to come over and talk with us. We even told him we tried another Mexican restaurant and he said "that's okay…. you'll always come back here" and he was right - we did.
Looking forward to the grand opening of Eddie's Sombrero.

Softly Sprinkled Rain
By Greg O'Brien
A flower closes
as it dances on a twilight breeze
the clouds float by
as the sun says goodnight
and nothing seems changed
as the glow fades from sight
But this day is different
because of one silenced voice
a loved one has left us
and we're faced with a choice
Do we renew our faith
and be thankful for time
or simply grieve with questions
and look for a sign
For it can be easy to show anger
or perhaps to feel blame
but instead simply remember
as you whisper their name
Strive to remember the joy
of the laughter once shared
and to make them a promise
that they'll always be here
That you will include them in thought
as each new day dawns
whispering their name softly
as each day rolls on
For they will surely return this favor
as they help ease your pain
by opening flowers with gentle breezes
and softly sprinkled rain

Eddie,
You are one terrific, caring, generous person. The outpouring of sadness in our town by so, so many is an indication of how much you were loved and liked. God Bless you that in your 49 years, you made such an impact with many people and organizations because of the person you are. Thank you and may you be resting in peace. Definitely our loss.
