If Tom Yagmin were still here on earth, he'd probably say that he's going to miss David a lot; he spoke highly of him often when the Howard Family was being discussed. Bobby and David are now together probably stirring up some fun up there in heaven I hope! To the family and friends of David, my deepest condolences.

Our very deepest condolences to Dave, Kathy, Pat, Steve and Liz and Aunt Jane. What wonderful memories I have of Dave and Gert down at Point of Woods Beach. What fun all the Howards had together. I miss them all. Our prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time.

A special star twinkles tonight. You may not see it through the clouds but it's there. If you didn't know it before pulling into the parking lot at his wake, you certainly realized it when you had trouble finding a parking spot. How does a 94 year old man garner such attention? I guess if you knew him then you know the answer to that. He was a very special man and touched everyone he came in contact with. Yes, the earth lost a good one! I am so glad to have known him.

Uncle Dave was one of a kind. Few as good, none better. My favorite memory was when he teased me about the nickname my grandmother (his sister Mary) gave me (which was Missy)and he never got it right on purpose.(Smile) He always had a joke to tell you or a song to sing to you. He is going to be deeply missed for I was blessed to have known him. If you had the opportunity to meet him, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Rest in peace Uncle Dave. Love, Mitsy- (inside joke)P.S. Heavy hearts on earth while all in heaven are rejoicing.

I am out of the country and will not make it back. Mr Howard was always one of my favorites. I will always remember the old crow bourbon and my dad letting me give him a Christmas present in the store. A very special man we will all miss

They don't make guys like Dave Howard anymore, and the world is a sadder, more empty place because of his passing. We all know about America's Greatest Generation, and Dave Howard epitomized the core values these fine patriots embodied. He loved his country, cherished his family and friends, worked hard for a living, and was as trustworthy and faithful as the day is long. You were a fortunate soul if you were a neighbor or friend who happened to be blessed by having Dave in your life. He could always be counted on for a helping hand, welcoming smile, kind word, gentle wave - and perhaps a cold beverage on a hot summer day. Spending time with Dave on his expansive back porch on a lazy afternoon, looking out over his beautiful rose bushes and hand-crafted birdhouses, was like something out of Mayberry RFD - simple, pure and joyful. The Windsor Memorial Day Parade will never be the same without Dave riding proudly in his uniform; those Thursday night poker games are minus one more crafty hand; and friends and family from Windsor and far beyond have lost one of the finest gentlemen to ever cross our path. God bless you, friend.
