To Marianne and family.
It was Gene's time to go and meet his maker. I shall miss him dearly. He was such a friend to me and Barbara and a very significant person to all my family. Our children called him "uncle' and he was the caring uncle to the three of them.
He held such a special place in all of our lives, shared our joys and sorrows and we shall sorely miss him.
We are all very gratefull that you have entered his life when you did. and that the two of you enjoyed a beautiful life togather befor his illness struck and forced you to make needed udjustments.
You have been such a loving and caring person to him and an inspiration to his family and friends.
Condolences == truly , we share your having lost him to eternal life.
we shall retain memories of his dedicated and constructive life, which has touched all of us and consider ourselves fortunate for having him be an inspiring light in our lives.

Dear Marianne,
We are so sorry to hear of Gene's passing. When my mom passed away in January and we did not hear from you, I assumed there could be illness. It was on my list to write a note because Gene always loved my parents and family too. So sorry we didn't all get to visit and laugh one more time.
We will remember happy, party times and his love for my "stuffed mushrooms" and anything "yummy."
Sorry to say we are at our other home in California so we will be unable to come to the funeral. Our thoughts are with you.
