Dr. Black's gifts to the children and those who serve and raise them were immeasurable. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure and priviledge of working with him.
Hopefully family and friends will be comforted in this difficult time by their fond memories of this fine man.

I am shocked and saddened. Jim was an amazing doctor, professional, diagnostician, and person. He always made time to discuss a case, or to help a colleague. I can't even begin to say how much he will be missed. He was articulate, kind, and just a fine fine person. So sorry and my heartfelt sympathy to Jim's familly.
Jim, we have learned so very much from you over the years, and were still learning from you, always your insights, perspectives and how you related this all to others, made it all so acceptable and understandable., along with your sense of humor and always a special story. You will be sorely missed.

I can't thank Jim enough for all the help and guidnace he provided so many children and their families throughout his career. He was a remarkable man with such insight! I'll miss those consult meetings and making sure I have a diet Coke for him. He liked his soda! My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.
