Her passing is sad news for those, like me, who love her stories. She will be greatly missed. May God rest her soul in Christ Jesus, our Savior and Lord.

I've loved Ms. Binchy's work since I read Light a Penny Candle and then I had to read all of her works. Her books have a shelf unto themselves, and NOTHING else goes on that shelf.I went to Dalkey, Ireland in 2001 and that day she was in Dublin but I was honored to meet her husband and publisher at Finnegan's.The next year I met her at Finnegan's and she was so gracious to this crass American who interrupted her business lunch with her husband and her publisher to talk to me about her upcoming work. She asked my son's name, who took a picture of me with her, and made me feel as though I was a friend, as I always do when I read her work.Rest in Peace my precious Ms Binchy, and may St. Peter say Fáilte go Neamh.God bless you Mr. Snell and Joan, and I'm sorry for your troubles.

The first book of Maeve's was Quentins. I had to read them all. I will miss her stories and her storytelling. Sleep well.
