RODEN, Mary (Dickerson)
Mary (Dickerson) Roden, 92 of Hartford, died Saturday, (August 17, 2013). She was born in Newburgh, NY daughter of the late Leroy and Nellie (Millspaugh) Dickerson and had lived in Hartford for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, Mary worked for Arrow Hart & Hegeman for many years. She loved to bowl and had won many trophies. Mary participated in the Foster Grandparents program for over 20 years. She is survived by: two daughters, Patricia Carter of Kensington, CT and Linda Johnston, of Kissimmee, Florida, 10 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Walter Fitzgerald and Robert Fitzgerald.
Memorial Service will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure: 74 Batterson Park Road, Farmington, CT 06032 or Foster Grandparents Program: 30 Laurel St., Hartford, 06106.
