George LEMIRE Obituary





LEMIRE, George L.

George Leo Lemire was 89. He entered Eternal Rest Friday, (April 19, 2013). Born in Lowell, MA he was one of seven beloved children born to Wilfred and Yvonne Lemire. After marrying his late/devoted wife or more than sixty years Beatrice, they moved from the East to the West Coast, settling in the Los Angeles area working at Owens Illinois glass for more than forty years. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights Of Columbus in Riverside County, was a longtime member of the Corona Elks Lodge #2045 where he held positions of Past Exalted Ruler and Treasurer. George will be missed by his granddaughter Shelly ( her husband A.J.) Clifton, a great-granddaughter Hannah Clifton, his surviving sisters and brothers: Ida McLaughlin and Terry Tucker and Henry and Joe Lemire, all of the East coast, many dear nieces, nephews and friends. He now joins his late parents, wife Beatrice, daughter Valerie VanDerlinden, sister Barbara Ann Roy and brother Alfred Lemire in Eternity.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, May 17 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church located on 446 Mountain Rd, Route 168 in Suffield, CT.
