Regina Pearl Adajian, of Wethersfield, died peacefully at home on Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was born in Hartford, attended the Washington Street School, and was a graduate of Bulkeley High School and New Britain Teachers College. Following graduation, she taught in Rockville and then at the Colonel John Chester School on Ridge Road in Wethersfield. Although her passion was and continued to be teaching, she left the profession to help establish and to serve as a partner for many years at Adajian's of Hartford, a popular downtown restaurant. She was a loyal and enthusiastic supporter of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, New York Giants, and UCONN Women's Basketball. She was very creative with floral decoration, enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader, and had a particular fondness for the many songbirds in her yard. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph S. and Pearl (Oflazian) Adajian, her sister, S. Elizabeth Adajian, and brothers A. S. (Joe) Adajian and Edward P. Adajian. She is survived by her sister, Rosemary Adajian Zaleski of Clearwater Beach, Florida, and nine loving nieces and nephews and their families. The funeral will be Friday, November 22, 10 A.M., in Trinity Episcopal Church, 300 Main Street, Old Wethersfield, with The Reverend Dr. William Hardwick officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at the Village Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the very special people who were attentive to her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Wethersfield Public Library, 515 Silas Deane Highway, the Trinity Episcopal Church Children's Ministry, or the charity of your choice. My deepest sympathy to Regina's family. My connection with her began when she was my Sunday School teacher at the former St. James'Episcopal Church in Hartford. In recent years, we kept in touch mostly through Christmas cards. She was a beautiful person in every way.

As Regina's attorney, I spent much time with Regina. She shared with me her memories and souvenirs, of Adajian's, her family's signature restaurant. Her commitment to family was so clear. Regina was an original and a gentle spirit I was fortunate to know. Tom Kablik
