Eugenia "Jean" Nadeau, 91, beloved wife of Henry J. Nadeau, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Rose Haven nursing facility after a long illness. She was born March 14, 1923 in Hartford to the late Francis and Julia (Maziarczyk) Marchut. She graduated East Hartford High School and resided in East Hartford for 91 years. Jean was employed by Western Union, A&P and Sage Allen. She was a parishioner of St. Christopher Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family, always available for listening and guidance. In her later years she enjoyed spending most of her time caring for her grandchildren. She will be most remembered for lots of hugs and protection and preservation of the family's culture and history. In addition to her husband, Henry of 66 years, Jean will by dearly missed by her son, Gary Nadeau and his wife Louella of Stockton, CA; her daughter, Julie Troy of Litchfield, CT; her 5 grandchildren, Sheena and Alanna Nadeau of Stockton, CA, Jessica, Whitney and Anthony Troy all of Litchfield, CT; her 2 great grandchildren, Brad Wheeler Jr. and Alaria DiVincenzo; and many nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her 2 sisters, Helen Early and Sophie Zdanis and her 2 brothers Stanley and John Marchut. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 10:00AM, at St. Christopher Parish, 538 Brewer St. East Hartford, CT 06118. Please meet directly at church.
