My sincere sympathy to the family for the loss of your dear loved one. May you find peace and comfort in Psalms 65:2. Again my deepest sympathy.
Mr. John was such a familiar person to me as I grew up. My daddy, Buddy Madden, would visit and purchase from Smokies and I remember Mr. John with that cigar in his mouth. He always gave me something to keep when we went and he always had a surprise. Daddy always got a kick out of that part of his friendship. Daddy died in '85 and he came to the funeral home to visit before he was buried. GOD Bless Ya'll. Katherine Madden Bell

To the family: I have so many good memories of working at Smokies with Mr. Bounds for two years of high school and all of my college years at USM. You will never know the positive impact that job had on me at that time in my life. Mr. Bounds treated me like a daughter and watched out for me. Memories of those years are very sweet with so much laughter, hard work and fun. I remembered that he told me about his time in the service and his story about General Patton. Mr. Bounds life was all about service to our country as well as to others. My sympathy goes out to you in your loss.
I am so sorry for the passing of your loved one. My family prays for you during this most difficult time.
