Well, Jack, LE Warren, your 2011 Honor Flight charge, finished his tour here on at about 6:30 p.m. on June 5 2014. (It was 0030 hours June 6 Normandy time). Amazingly, 70 years ago at that time he was in the English Channel off Omaha Beach either waiting or loading onto their LST. He was certainly one to choose his own time. Dad went peacefully. His floor nurse and I were there. He just stopped breathing and his heart stopped. Dad really missed you when you left. You were a true friend and buddy. You brought enjoyment and purpose. Now, he has followed. He was ready.
I served in Jacks platoon in vietnam. He will forever be in my thougths and prayers. He was a Leader and a Great Marine. Semper Fi Sir
Mickey,Jeff and Brent, Butch and I could not believe the news of Jack's passing. We have been talking about all the Church baseball games and remembering what great times we had. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mr. Jack was a good man and a good friend to my mom and dad. Unfortunately, it seems if too many of the good ones pass far to soon. I'll always remember he and my dad at the baseball games. You all are in my thoughts.

We were sorry to hear of Jacks passing. I met Jack at Watkins Motor Lines and we became instant friends. He was a great friend. The world lost a great person.
Words are inadequate at times like this. We were shocked and saddened upon receiving Brent's message.
Our hearts ache and share in your sorrow, as Jack was such a special "buddy" to my dad. We have so many wonderful memories of times with him, before/during/after the Honor Flight trip when he was Daddy's
Jack gave so much to so many. His life was well spent. All of us who knew him have suffered a great loss, but we thank God we were granted the privilege of knowing this unique man.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family as you travel this unexpected valley. Please know that in the months ahead when it may seem that no one is remembering, we are and we hold you and our memories of Jack close to our hearts.
With our sympathy and love,
To the family of Jack Mills: my heart is aching at the passing of Jack. He was my friend as well as a fraternity brother. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and homecoming at Clarion will not ever be the same.
Mills Family: The news of Jack's passing away came to a big shock to me, as Jack and I became great friends while in the Marine Corps League. He will be missed by all of our members. I am so sorry as myself and wife won't be able to make the Funeral, as we all have the Flu. I will be thinking of you and praying for the Family.

This is really sad news. Jack was a great friend of ours. Dad (92 yrs., WW-II Veteran, Omaha Beach thru Belgium to Germany) really loved Jack. Jack was Dad's guardian on the fall 2011 honor-flight. He could bring a grin and laugh with him when nothing else would, for Dad. They were planning a trip to the N.O. WW-II Museum, together. He is already sorely missed. Jack was a "Buddy" to Dad; the kind that you have as a part of your unit. My family's heart-felt prayers for you, Mickey and all your family!!!
Mickey, Brent & Jeff, we were so sad to hear of Jack's passing, our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. We have many fond memories of Jack, you and of course, Jeff and Brent, when you lived in Slidell. I know that Jeff had the greatest respect for your husband and father. Please know that we are thinking of you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Jack was an inspiration to both of my daughters, when he coached the PJP Lady Jags soccer team a few years ago. My youngest, who is pre-diabetic, was a project for him during soccer season. He was always telling her to "KEEP MOVING!" She is still with soccer and moving!
The Marines at Commiskey -Wheat share your loss and grief. We will miss Jack and his Gung Ho spirit.Semper Fi
Sincere condolences for you and your family. You are in our prayers.
