I live out of state and was talking to family and just discovered your loss. I am so sorry. Pearlie Jackson was more than our bus driver... He looked out over us and make sure the larger kids didn't pick on us, he gave us candy canes during Christmas, and was always so thoughtful. God Be with you during this time.

Sending love and prayers to all our Jackson family. So sad to hearing of the loss of our uncle.

Mr. Jackson was my bus driver growing up. I remember him handing out giant candy canes to all of us kids at Christmas time. He had a big cardboard box full of them next to his shifter and gave us one as we got off the bus. He always wore a uniform and was always on time. He would however slow down slightly if he didn't see you standing there. His son took over my bus route after he retired. Mr. Jackson had to pull over the bus once when two girls who bullied me every day at school decided to beat me up on the bus. I think he must have talked to the school because they weren't on the bus anymore after that. My condolences to his family and friends. I'll always have fond memories of him racing down the road in his Bluebird bus.

I didn't know anything about Pearly except as my bus driver when I was in high school. But he still made such an impact on me that I never forgot him. A good man.
