It was with much sadness that I read Sra. Asela's obituary. As her former student from The Phillips School, she will always be part of my most cherished school memories. She always had a smile in her face and kindness in her voice. Both my husband and I were her students and express our sympathy to you and your family.
Last Friday we attended a mass at St. Timothy's offered for her by another of her former students, Tessy Visiedo.
May she rest in peace.

I am sorry for the loss of Asela Raurell. The loss of a dear loved one is a very difficult thing to go through. May the family find comfort in the words found at Jeremiah 29:11.

Asela siempre estuvo cerca de mi corazon, ella sabia que yo no tenia vena de atleta, pero siempre se aseguro de incluirme en todos los juegos de kicking ball.

As a former student of The Phillips School, I remember a la Sra. Asela with love. She was the kindest, sweetest teacher one could have, always smiling at her students and nurturing us. I am sorry I never knew she was in Miami so I could have seen her. May she rest in peace in the company of Our Lord.
