I only just realised there was a guest book. It was such a pleasure to meet you again after so many years. Will always remember your beautiful smile. RIP Grandma xxx

As far back as I can remember, my grandma, (affectionately known as Dottie), has always been a special part of my life. I grew up in her home, and she was a second Mom to me, and spoiled me as only a Grandma could!

Dots was one of the most giving and caring persons I have ever met. One of my earliest memories, are of her walking me to and from school. Our walks home always included a stop at York Pharmacy where she would buy me a Cadbury bar and Cheez Trix. She was also my fiercest protector, and would protect me from the belt, even when I deserved it. I knew this too well, and always ran to her when I got into trouble! Grandma wasn't only kind and caring towards me, she was that way with everyone she met. She never forgot anyone's birthday, and always went out of her way to make them feel special. She was known to send gifts as far away as England, and when the holidays came around, she would spend hours in the kitchen baking Christmas puddings for friends and family. I loved to watch Grandma make her puddings, and my favorite thing was getting to lick the batter bowl afterwards! Growing up with Grandma was a privilege and an honor, and I will always remember the special times we shared.

As Grandma entered her senior years, and developed Alzheimer's, our relationship changed. There were lots of trials and tribulations, and tears and laughter, but as the roles reversed and Mom and I became her caretakers, we learned to appreciate her in a different way. Some Alzheimer's patients can be very difficult to deal with, but Grandma remained sweet and kind. She was always singing, clapping, and smiling, and I choose to remember her that way. We had 44years together, and although I will miss her dearly, I am glad her departure was painless and peaceful. May you rest in peace Grandma.

Grandma,
The things I miss the most are your sweet smile, gentle spirit, and your clapping and singing. I am so grateful that you got to spend your last day with your loving family, and that you left us in such a peaceful manner. I will always remember the special things we did together, and feel so fortunate to have had you as my Grandma for 44 years. You will remain in my heart forever Dots.

I will always remember the first time I met you when I was visiting Nicole. You were so funny and friendly. Rest in peace, Grandma.
