Every once in awhile I've wondered how Mrs. Dunn is doing. To read of her passing is really sad. I had her as a teacher in the late 80's at Killian. She was one of the few teachers that genuinely cared! RIP.

Hello Ray,
I am so sorry(and shocked) to learn about the passing of Mrs. Dunn. I was a student of her Computer Programming class during the 1988/1989 Killian High school year. She was a wonderful teacher to the whole class. While I will admit that she was not an easy teacher, I did learn how to discipline is essential for success inside and outside of the class. She was kind and heartwarming. The last time I saw her was in 1989, a few weeks after the academic school year was over. Once again, I am sorry to hear about Mrs. Dunn's passing. In addition, I am equally sorry that I didn't get the chance to know her better through her math and computer club that was on the Killian campus at the time. You are a very luck man to have a wife who was also your best friend, which is the key to a successful marriage.

To say that I am shocked is an understatement. I was out of town for Mother's Day and did not see that Genie was gone. I only realized it this morning when I saw her brother's death notice. I am so happy that we were able to visit at our Tulane-Newcomb reunion this past fall. Ray, I am so sorry that you all will not have years to come. You and your family are in our prayers. I know that Danielle joins me in sending our sympathies.

Dear Raymond and Family, I am heartbroken hearing about the loss of Genie. I have wonderful memories of holidays, weddings, and various gatherings of The McCloskey and Dunn Clan. I remember Genie as ALWAYS smiling, encouraging, and upbeat. She was a beautiful light. So sorry that she was taken from this life so young. I don't understand why God takes the good ones. I still question God about this since he took my Dad 15 years ago. I know it is not our place to question but I do.I will be praying for you and your family. Godspeed. Love,

Many moons ago Ms. Dunn was my computer teacher at Miami Southridge. I have such fond memories of the caring teacher she was. My thoughts and prayers are with those she left behind.

Ray, we offer you and your family our most sincere condolences. Genie was remarkable in many ways and will be missed, but memories of her will bring smiles for years to come. We will continue our work fighting cancer with Relay for Life and Genie will prove to be a motivational force in these efforts. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

I only met Genie a couple of times at Killian Open Houses, but I felt I knew her through my children ,Jimmy and Jennifer Lockhart who spoke of her all the time through out high school. To quote my son, "Mrs. Dunn is the only Math teacher that ever made it make sense." That from a sophmore in Geometry class back in the early 1990's. Just think of the thousands of children she left that legacy to. I hope this gives your family one of a lifetime of memories others have of her.
