Fadela always lit up a room with her radiant smile. She was extremely patient teaching us Arabic, laughing at all of our bad jokes while always encouraging us to do better.I can still hear her laugh today. She and Jim will always have a special place in my heart. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Bill and Julie Campe and family

Fadela was a shining light in our Peace Corps group in Morocco. Her laughter is something I can still remember today though it's been 30 years since I've seen her. She was the first person to have noticed my latent leadership ability via a dream she had of me leading the way. I offer my deepest condolences to Jim Nuttall and to Fadela's family for their great loss.

“In sorrow, we mourn those lost. In gratitude, we embrace those around us. In sympathy, we reach out to those who grieve. Just know that our arms are wrapped tight around you during this time of loss.”

Fadela brought so many gifts to this life and touched the heart of every-one of us lucky enough to have met her. We will never forget Fadela. Please take comfort in that now and in the days ahead.

When people travel as far, care as deeply and work as hard for others as Fadela and Jim have done, the circle of their friends will be wider and deeper than we can measure.
My small part of that circle was in meeting both Fadela and Jim as a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco. Fadela taught us Arabic, and no student of hers will have forgotten her gentle way, her quick, brilliant smile or her ability to find the humor and share the laugh in the moment.
The loss now felt so deeply by our brother, Jim Nuttall, by our sister, Sophie Senhaji-Todd, and by all of her family is one we share with them. But we remember: While the pain is deep, we feel it only because it is an inseparable part of an infinitely greater joy in knowing Fadela and in having shared time with her. Allahi saadkum, Allahi barak fikum!
