I met Kip at Stanford, probably because we were both from
Iowa and kept in touch off and on ever since. I'm so sorry
he didn't make it back to Texas where I now live not very
far from his daughter. I know he will be sorely missed.

My son Matt of Norris Plumbing called and shared with me Kips passing, and with years of customers I instantly knew who he was speaking of as Kip was a person always a pleasure to see and talk with. Thank you for sharing, he was a great guy.
So sorry to hear of Kip's passing. We worked together for several years distributing Ding Darling materials from the University of Iowa Publications Order Department. He was wonderful to work with and we had some very interesting discussions. He also sent me Ding Darling materials that my wife used in her elementary school classrooms. I have visited the Refuge in Florida multiple times and the trips always made me think of Kip.
Kip and I were schoolboy classmates at Exeter, and went our separate ways until we once again crossed paths in Topeka, the eventual home of Koss Construction Co. His visits here in my town renewed and strengthened our friendship. Via the internet and telephone, we kept in contact and bridged the miles more often and conveniently than in his 747.
I miss him.

Kip had the fortitude and grace to hold phone conversations with me through last week - while not mentioning his dire illness. Kip's work further strengthened the Ding Darling sanctuary, and his long term philosophy informed all who discussed investing with him. May he rest in peace.
I will always remember the wonderful chats and educational remembrances "Kip" shared with me about his grandfather "Ding." A wonderful man who kept Ding's legacy alive and love for the Federal Duck Stamp Program. Wonderful times with him at the "Ding Darling Refuge" birthday celebrations in Sanibel, Fl.
Kip I will miss you!
