Melvyn Frumkes was always very pleasant and had a funny sense of humor with me. I was a court reporter for some of his depos and hearings, and he always warmed up to me, thanked me for coming and spoke politely and professionally. He knew his business, and was able to balance the right and the wrong, not just what was "beneficial" but the good in things-
I liked him, and respected him. And may he rest in peace-
I worked for Mr Frumkes during the mid to late 80s . Then again 1991/92. I will always be grateful for the skills I learned working for him. Also he was a generous boss.
It was an honor to provide psychotherapy to Mel's clients going through the emotional turbulence of divorce. I shall miss our superb conversations. This is a true loss to our community.

I met Melvyn at a Bar event. A year later, I saw him with my son, who was then 4 years old. We spent an hour together, with him mostly talking to my boy. Great lawyer, nice guy, a class act. Very rare in Miami.
The world has lost a good, fair and honorable man.
Mel is the father of modern family law in Florida. He stood tall among members of the Florida Bar.
WE WILL MISS MEL'S KNOWLEDGE AND HUMOR. OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH HIS SON, MARK AND SKEETER KING.

My condolences to the family, escpecially Mark and Skeeter, who I knew.
He was respected and loved by clients, friends and family alike. He lived a good life, was an exceptional father and made his clients feel like his family.
Mel was my dad's roommate in law school. I have known him all my life. He was an amazing person. My heart is broken.
He was my first boss. I have spoken of him often over the past 35 years - especially when I have a young intern in my office and I recount my own experiences learning the ropes. He will always have a very special place in my heart.
Mel was a wonderful man and a tzaddik in every sense. He will be missed.
My conversations with Mel were like those with my own father and I will miss his advice and wisdom. My sincerest condolences to Skeeter, Mark, Steven and the Frumkes family.
Mel was a great friend and tennis partner. He never hesitated to help people. He and his zest for life will be missed. Don and Rosetta Bierman
As a teenager and Mark's friend, I spent a lot of time at the Frumkes residence while growing up. I'll always remember how Mel made me feel part of the family. My heartfelt condolences to Mark, Steven and the Frumkes family at their time of loss.
