Thank you for everything Robert, you remain an inspiration to all of us. God bless you and your family.
Robert was such a rich character; from whom I learnt so much. All lessons delivered with insight, but through humour. I miss him as a colleague (at Uclan), but feel grateful to have met someone who not only had such a rich life, but was generous enough to share it.
I knew Bob through a mutual friend and colleague at the University of Central Lancashire in the UK. We would sometimes have coffee together. Bob's humour, incisive mind and wordly-wise knowledge and experience was really something to witness. He will be sorely missed. Truly a great guy epitomising a cherished era of public life. My heartfelt condolences and wishes to all the family.
May I add my condolences. I shared many a lift journey or refectory snack with Bob and those quick exchanges on the lastest decsions of government or management helped focus my thinking. As a staff representative, I always valued his insight and his gracious company. He is missed here.
Robert Beers was a class act. Funny, warm, clever. Every year he would do a guest lecture spot for me here at our university in Preston, England, and it was the highlight of the year.
He would speak, cast his spell and the students would sit entranced. He would tell incredible stories.
The staff at our university are hearbroken at the loss of the wonderful, irreplaceable, Robert Beers.
Such an exceptional man. As a former colleague at Preston, Uk, I enjoyed every minute of his witty and intelligent company. A fantastic character who will be greatly missed but always remembered.

I've known Bob since high school days in Wisconsin. He was such an intellectual wit that could always make me laugh. Shared many good times with Bob & Sandy. We lost touch for years, but just reconnected. So sad to see him go. Prayers & warm positive thoughts go out to Sandy, Carrie & Juliet. He will be missed~
My sincere condolences to Bob's family. I had the honor of working with him early in my career at WTVJ. He was a consumate professional and a gentleman. He helped mold many young reporters starting in the business, myself included. For that, I'll always be grateful. Eliott Rodriguez
you will be in our hearts, Robert.Barbara Center
I'll miss you Robert. You were an inspiration to everyone who met you and knew you. Thinking of Carrie and Melanie. It will take time to heal and your friends will ease the pain.
I regret to hear of your loss of a love one. May you find comfort in the promise of God that soon the sting of death will be a thing of the past. God assures us "He will actually swallow up death forever".
Praying for you and your family through your loss. Your father was a tender-hearted, kind man. May the Lord be your strength as you grieve.
So sorry, Carrie! Sending you tons of love & healing thoughts as you go through this difficult time. Safe travels! XO XO XO
My sincere condolences to the family. Never feel that you are alone, for God hears your cry for help and he will sustain you. (2 corthians 1:4).
