Patrick and Myrna, Thank you for sharing Mother Range with the 100 Black Women of Funeral Service. In August, She was the Belle of the Convention as she moved around the convention hall faster than most 40 year olds. We were honored to have her on stage to receive her Oscar at the ACADEMY AWARDS OF FUNERAL SERVICE. We were a wreck until she arrived in Myrtle Beach. She has been my personal heroe as a female since I met her and jumped into funeral service. In my early days of forming the organization, I could call her and seek great advice. Those phone calls were so inspirational and she always encouraged me to go for it. And now 13 years later, we are still going for it. She said it takes gusto and she was GUSTO with a capital G. I am so sad she has gone, but as I read her accommplishment, I can see her doing it all in a sweet, mild and consistent manner. She was a woman of fire and was steadfast until the very end. You must be so proud of that high spirit and determination, she possessed. I know she was your best friend and I guess I'm goung to think that God needed a little organization in Heaven and he has called in his Captain M. Athalie Range, to get the Angels in Heaven in order. Her sweet spirit will always be with us...Her fire remains steadfast amongst the women of funeral service and her goals of excellence in the profession remain my primary focus. Thanks for sharing Mother Range with me and the members of the 100 BWFS and the NFD&MA,Inc. in August. We loved her and we love you guys. Some people just know right from the start how to bring joy to another's heart. Some people just know how to love and give..and they do such nice things everyday that they live..They're always a blessing wherever they go. It was a way of life for my personal heroe. M. Athalie Range. God Bless!
