My son is now 30 years old and a father of 4. Thanks to Dr Bouceck and his amazing talent. I was so sad to hear he had to suffer so much. He was a wonderful human being.

For the family of Dr. Boucek:

My son turned 30 this week, thanks to the world-class, life-saving caring of Dr. Boucek. I never dreamed that Dr. Boucek would pass first. My son's life has been a miraculous gift, and I loved that Dr. Boucek knew this better than anyone. He was such a gift to his patients. I will always be grateful for his intelligence, down-to-earthness, and caring. He is a true hero.

Well, this a strange way to find one of the finest persons I´ve met in my life. Mary, I am sorry Mark is gone, I´ve tried to find you about 15 years back and got as far as California where your parents have moved long ago. Today, I found a USF theater program and there was your name as one of the dancers. So I looked into the last name in Internet and found that Mark had passed. This is my email leogarber@gmail.com I hope you see this message, its been over 30 years since we went to school and i am sure there are a lot of stories to tell. I always knew you were going to help people, I am glad you did. Regards Leo

Dr.Boucek an amazing man with a huge heart. Our son Thomas first came to know him when he was 3 weeks old,in 1993 in Denver Childrens Hospital. Dr. Boucek gave us three years that we might not have had with Thomas. What can I say about the man who literally saved our son's life with a heart transplant at such a young age. My husband was in the Army we were stationed at Fitzsimons during the that time, and thank God he blessed Dr. Boucek with a wonderful gift that he had. Dr Boucek will be missed by so many, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and co workers.
The kind of heart pain caused by his loss unfortunately cannot be treated with medicine. God Speed Dr.B and give Thomas a hug for us...

In talking with my son about the amazing doctor he had in his early years and searching for a photograph to show him, we came upon this tragic news. Dr. Mark Boucek blessed our lives in late 1999 through 2002. From day one of our son Brendan's life, with such confidence and caring concern, Dr. Boucek assured us that he could fix Brendan's heart. He got us through such difficult times. In 2002, when I expressed to Dr. Boucek how concerned I was to have my son Brendan leaving his care as we were moving out of Colorado, he assured me that there were very good cardiologists elsewhere. Dr. Boucek, that may be true, but with such a Big Heart combined with such intelligence, you were most definitely a One-Of-A-Kind. We are so saddened to learn that the world has lost such a brilliant and wonderful person. Our hearts go out to the Boucek family and all who cherished this amazing person.

Dr. Mark Boucek touched our lives in 1985 when he savcd my daughter's life at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City. We found out about his passing when my daughter was trying to find where he had moved to. She wanted to thank him now that she is all grown up. I know that he has a special place in Heaven right now, and I want to thank his family for sharing him with us. I can't imagine how many hours he spent away from his own family so that he could save people like me from the unspeakable tragedy of losing a child. I know of no way to describe how special and caring he was. I truly believe he had angel's wings hidden under his white lab coat.
