To the Boucek family:
Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss. I worked with Mark for many years at Loma Linda and came to respect his advocacy for the smallest of patients. In my eyes he was a giant of a man with a gentle and tender touch. The world was a better place with Mark in it; there will be great sorrow with his passing. God bless you.

Mark was a trusted colleague, remarkable scientist and honest man. We will all miss him.

To Mark's Family-I can only imagine your loss, such a wonderful man, i had the good fortune to know him as a colleague and a friend, and read many of his remarkable publications in the literature of cardiology and transplantation, and hear his thoughtful provocative questions at meetings. But best of all, i enjoyed his sparkling smile-he always made you feel that he cared about what you had to say. I can imagine how wonderful it was to be a part of his family, or to have him as your doctor. He will be missed; my prayers and thoughts are with all of you who were closest to him.

Few people have contributed as much to pediatric cardiology and to children, and very few have done it in such an individualistic way. A real iconoclast, with a wicked sense of humor. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to his family

My prayers are with the Boucek families, the cardiology families that Mark has touched. He will certainly leave a void in this world that noone will be able to fill. He helped many children improve the quality of their lives and assisted other pediatric cardiologists to improve their infant/pediatric tranplant programs and therapies.

May God provide you peace and grace during this difficult time and know that he's no longer suffering.

My thoughts and prays are with the Boucek family. Dr Mark Boucek was my son's doctor. We were very fortunate to find him after his brother Dr. Robert Boucek moved to Seattle. I am very blessed to have two of the best doctors taking care of my son David Young. Pediatric cardiology children also lost grately at the passing of Dr. Boucek.

Mark made such a difference in the life of so many people. I was fortunate to know him professionally and personally. I will miss him so much. The children of Guatemala and other countries have lost an amazing man and Doctor, but his commitment to our children was so, that I am sure he is now an Angel, watching over them.
My deepest condolences to the family. You should be very proud of the legacy Mark has left upon you. It is hard to find such a great person in this world! May God be with you all.
