If it wasn't for Dr. Haas, I would not have my fabulous two children, Steven, 47, and Samantha, 45. He was my ObGyn for both of their births. He was the kindest, best doctor I could have had when I had been told I could not have children. I am so sorry I never got to tell him this in person as he never wanted to speak about himself. Please accept my deepest condolences.

When I was younger, Stuart seemed magical. He would make infrequent appearances at family gatherings and attract a crowd of admirers-mostly women all of whom hung on his every word. As I got older I realized all the substance behind his joie de vivre. He always responded when pregnant mothers needed him at whatever hour and he cared so much about the health of his family members, including my father. He was a wonderful man like no other and we will all miss him.

As my second cousin and occasional mentor, as a little girl, Stuart was the first man in my life that gave me an awareness of how handsome and charming a man can be. I have adored and admired him all of my life, as everyone did who knew him, and will miss him greatly.
