I first met Bob in 1991 when we both joined our church association. We got to visit every year since and enjoyed sharing what was going on in our lives and with our families. In particular i remember evenings of standing around the piano with friends while Bob played hymns and we all sang to his playing, and how beautiful his playing was. A friend once said that our final resting place should be in the hearts and minds of our love ones. Bob will always be in my hear and mind.

Bob was one of the most talented pianists I've known. He played with such easy and sensitivity. The last time I saw him was this past October at an annual association meeting for our church. I loved hearing him talk about his wife, his children and his grandchildren. Bob was a good friend to all of us, and I always looked forward to seeing him at the meeting. I have a tin on my desk that was once filled with Bob's fruit cookies that he sent me this past Christmas. Boy, were they delicious. Please know that I am thinking of all of you during this difficult time. What a most wonderful man!

To Jan and all of Bobs family. We all share in the deep sorrow due to the loss of a beloved friend. Bob made the world around him a happier place. He was a dear, close friend of mine and I spent a lot of time sitting in our high school auditorium listening to him practice the piano. Now, the heavens are filled with his joy and beautiful music.
