Services for Beulah Patton will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Dannel Funeral Home. Pastor Leland Samuelson will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Texas.
Our loving and beautiful mother Beulah F. Patton, 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Ionia, Michigan, surrounded by family and friends. She grew up in Sherman, Texas and graduated from Sherman High School in 1943. She worked at Knight Furniture Company as a bookkeeper for several years. In 1946, she married James W. Patton and they had three children. James a mechanical engineer, died in 1976. Shortly after, mother moved from San Antonio, Tx to Fort Worth to be closer to her eldest daughter. Mother would continue on to raise her youngest daughter and to care for her aging mother. In 1985, she became a caregiver of children and retired in 2001. In 2007, Mother moved to Ionia, Mi to live with her daughter. Mother has always been a devoted Christian, with a gentle, loving spirit and a beautiful heart. She dearly loved her family and friends. She loved gardening, cooking, sewing and going to craft/antique stores.
She is survived by her daughter's Kathy and son-in-law Fred Tinney of Springtown, Tx, Donna and son-in-law Thomas Rossbottom of Ionia, Mi, grandson's Blake and wife Hilary Patton of San Antonio, Tx,, James and wife Tony Hopper of Little Rock, Ar, granddaughter Brandy and husband James Doty of Denison, Tx, great granddaughter's Paige Patton of San Antonio, Tx, Nicole and husband Kirk Taylor of Calera, Ok, Ashley and husband Addison Coffman of Denison, Tx, and great great granddaughter Kyleigh of Calera,Ok.
Mother is predeceased by her husband, James W. Patton, Son Col. Scott Patton, parent's Willie Pierce Cook and Pearl Dona Cook, brother's Noel Cook, Bill Cook, sister's Dorothy Moore and Margaret Blackwell.
