Jim Shipman, a friend, and fellow minister to the bereaved along with clergy, was one of the few people I know who continued to learn and grow the longer he lived. He was fun, funny, and silly sometimes, but with all that he was a very serious man, dedicated to a life of service and love. A lot of people refer to the"love of my life", however in Jim's case that was totally and absolutely true. I am pretty sure he could not have achieved all he did without Jan's balance and common sense, and constant support. She didn't mince words with some of Jim's words or actions, and yet she never stopped being always at his side. It goes without saying that Angie, James, Davis, Katie, and Lily were the apples of his eye. His extended family was also extremely dear to him. This was a remarkable man and we will miss him sorely. And will give thanks for having been a friend for over 30 years.
