To the family, we are so deeply saddened and touched by your loss. No words could ever express our compassion and sympathies for you at this time. Your loss has touched the world and brought a community to its knees, yet we also see them standing strong to rally and hold one another. We think of you daily and pray for your peace nightly. Our family would like to do something special for you, if you could please contact us through Kurt's Cause on Facebook, or me directly through FB, I would greatly appreciate it. Until then, please know that we pray that you find the strength and courage that you so need each and every day. ~Kandy Hayes, and family.

My sympathy goes out to the family during your time of grief. May God's loving-kindness comfort you and help you through this difficult time. (Psalm 119:50,76)

I worked with Mike for several years prior to his retirement from EPD. He was great cop,and one that you could always depend on.
Rest in Peace Mike, and Semper Fi.

What a great police officer. He was always unflappable. He could really teach the art of shooting a handgun. It was an honor to have worked with him.

I also worked with Mike for a number of years on Everett PD. He was my first training officer when I first got on the department. We rode together for two months and he taught me a lot during that time. I introduced him to "Big Red" chewing gum and after many years of either working together or running into him, he always had a stick of Big Red in his mouth. He did do things his way and that was what made him special. RIP Mike..we miss you. Fred Anderson retired Everett Pd 109
