Raymond Burns was born on December 29, 1957, in Everett, WA. He passed away on August 21, 2013 in Coupeville, WA. He was 55 years old. He is survived by his three children, Angela Brown, Aimee Rose, and Robert Burns. He also left behind five grandchildren, and seven siblings. He was the youngest child of Robert and Myrtle Burns of Everett, both deceased. Don was a longtime Whidbey Island resident. He was a retired Chief Engineer with Foss Maritime Company, and an Inland Boatmen's Union member. He was happiest when he was on a boat, enjoying the water. I was shocked & saddened to hear about Don's Passing. We worked together in Everett harbor & remember those days like yesterday. I only wish I had called & kept in contact. Over the years I thought about it many times. My heart aches for his Kids, Grandkids & his family.

Seems like yesterday when we were all kids. Time has past but the memories will always remain deep in the hearts of those who knew him...

Don followed his dad and brother Steve in a towboating lifestyle. I had him as a very green deckhand on Everett harbor tugs.Rest in peace Don.
