My sincerest condolences to the entire McCarthy family. He was a wonderful man. I will never forget him. Rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Mr. McCarthy. Mr. McCarthy hired me as a teacher in Swansea in 1986 and several years later supervised my practicum to become a principal. He was larger than life. Always a smile and a good word to say even in the toughest of times. He loved his family and worked tirelessly for the children of Swansea. I will forever be indebted to him for supporting me in my early years as a teacher.. My thoughts are with his family.

My deepest sympathy to the entire McCarthy family. My mom worked with Mr. McCarthy for several years as a teacher and was very fond of him as a leader and a person. She always spoke well of him and the whole family. I am truly sorry for your loss.

My sincere condolences to the McCarthy family. I got to know Jack when I was a football official with him. I didn't realize what an incredible guy he was until he was my interim superintendent in Berkley. I had the distinct pleasure of dining with him daily.During his tenure in Berkley we would discuss family, friends, education, and sports. I got to know what a wonderful man he was. He was from an era of iron men on wooden ships not like today's wooden men on iron ships. Jack was so easy to speak with. He gave me great insight into so many topics. I know he will be truly missed by fellow colleagues, family, and friends. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers. God's speed, Jack
