You were my SC Mom. You cared for the friends of your family like we were born to you. It takes a very special person to love without conditions or judgement. That was you and that is what I remember most about you. My favorite memories are Thanksgivings at Mel and Wayne's where all of us transplants from all over the USA would gather as one family. Thank you for welcoming me into your heart and your life as one of your own. I know you will continue to love and guide us from the other side. That's just the way you roll. :)
Until we meet again...........
It is a pleasure knowing of you through your wonderful daughter. Melissa loves you as much today as she did when you were here on earth. My heartfelt thoughts are with Melissa.
Through your daughter I know that you were a beautiful Angel on earth who is now a beautiful Angel in Heaven. There is truly no greater gift than love in this life, and I know how very much you were loved. I am blessed to know your daughter!
I didn't know you but have heard some wonderful stories about you from your sweet girl, Melissa. I'm sure you were part of the reason that Melissa & I were drawn together after your arrival in Heaven. There was all of a sudden a strong sense that I needed to reach out to her. Because of that push we have become very close and I cherish the time I spend with her. She has become a "daughter" to me. I will do my best to always be there for her.
It has been a long, lonely, painful thirteen months since you slipped your earthly shackles and crossed over to be with our Creator. I pray now for peace and understanding, for comfort from the Great Comforter, the Holy Spirit. I ask for wise counsel to carry out the tasks I have been asked to complete, with kindness and compassion. Help me please. Guide my heart and my hands to do the right thing. To honor your wishes and your memory. I love you, I miss you, I will never forget your loving presence.
I was Maureen's Visiting Teacher in 2003/2004. She was always willing to let me and my companion, Cheryl English, come visit her. She was so friendly. The thing I remember most about Maureen was her green thumb. She had the most, most beautiful hydrangeas in her yard that I have ever seen.
Some precious fun memories with Grandma!
Maureen, you were the best; your wisdom and council will be missed....as well as that sense of humer of yours....God bless you (say hello to J)
Words can never express my love for, and gratitude to, Maureen. She was a Mother when mine couldn't be there and a Friend - the truest you could ask for. Though it saddens me that she's left this existence, I know what she's been through these past 11+ months, and Our Heavenly Father did too. As such, I am certain she is over the moon to be rid of her earthly ailments and health shackles. We need to be happy for her and look to the day we are reunited with her! Keep the faith and know God loves you most! ("her other Sheila")
Dear Maureen, your daughter Melissa called me to tell me of your passing. We have not spoken in a few years but I think of you often and fondly, of the many years of our friendship. I will miss our long and thoughtful conversations, your wit and wisdom and your unfailing friendship. You will be missed.
Maureen - we had a long history. Hope that you are comfortable and at peace. Your son ALWAYS loved you with all his heart.
I always cherished your wisdom. Thank YOU
Melissa: Your mother was a wonderful person and I'll miss her. God's love and comfort to you and your family.
A beautiful service for a beautiful lady. May you find peace in your memories and in the knowledge that she is in God's hands.
I love you so much Ma! I miss you every single day, but tomorrow we are carrying out your wish - we are holding a Celebration of your life at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden - your favorite place. I know you are in a better place, at peace, no longer in pain, no longer short of breath, and watching over us.
RIP Ma. We had lots of laughs and I loved you. Give David a big hug from the boys and I!
