Thank you for your service Nelson David Trent . We Salute you !
April 09, 2014
My husband Bill Lyons worked with Nelson at Motorola, prior to him going into active military service. I wanted April and her daughters to know how very sorry we are for your loss. Bill had tried looking up Nelson last week to send him birthday greetings and instead found the news that he had passed away. He was a kind person and a very good friend. The last time we saw him we were pregnant with our second child, a son, and he brought us a bear dressed in military fatigues with boots, back pack and beret. We will keep the bear always as a lasting memory of his thoughtfulness to our family. You are in our prayers,
Beth and Bill Lyons

Reading the many obituary's on you, I realize what a great man you were. A dedicated soldier that loved his country, you can see the love you have for your wife and children.
It is a shame that you and many others have lost your lives to protect our country, even after they say the war is over. For those who have lost loved ones the war will never be over.
As you are in Heaven watching over your family and others I pray that your family's wounds heal and that as time passes they are able to live life in peace.
You are a Guardian Angel.

From one service member to another: You have inspired me to start a philanthropy with my father aiding injured soldiers. Your death has truly opened my eyes as I am at the same base in AFG where you were. I pray for you and your family every day. May God watch over your family in this time of grieving. May your soul reach Heaven and God reward you for your ultimate sacrifice defending our freedom. You are truly a hero to all those who you served with, and even though I do not know you personally, you are truly a great man who will continue to inspire people with all you have offered throughout your life. God Bless you and your family.

Remembering you in prayer ... although I never knew him, his grandfather was the son of my Uncle Hubert who I do remember very fondly. I am the daughter of Willie Wallace from Martin's Mill, who was sister to Hubert. God Bless His Family!

There are no words I can offer that will comfort you, but know that we will honor his sacrifice, and that of his family, all the days of our lives. YOU ARE CHERISHED.

I had the honor to serve with Nelson during his stint with JTF-71. No matter the tough, endless training, without enough sleep, Nelson always managed to lift everyone up with his constant smile and positive attitude. Thank you to the Trent family for having shared Nelson with us.
