Mr. Grich, As a father of two sons, I can only tell you that I feel some of your pain. I cannot imagine however the true pain you feel. What a waste of a beautiful and bright young life. God will in HIS time bring you a modicum of peace. Your joy in having Steven for 23 years will carry you through it all. In Greek there is a condolence at times like this that says "Zoi Se Sas", which means a long life to those left behind. Again for whatever it's worth I share your pain.

Steve,Lynn and entire Grich family
When people say they can only imagine what you are going through I unfortunately know first hand loosing my 33 yr old son almost 8 yrs ago. You will get through this but never over it! Please keep your faith strong believe me this will give you much support. Jesus was killed and our blessed mother! lost her son. She was Jesus's mother and she had to endure this. Who am i compared to her! I sat in back of your parents in church a few hours before Steven was killed and the gospel stressed how humble HIS beginning and what he endured to show us the way and to help us understand our own lives. The fact this happened to Him helped me deal with my son's passing and i know he also did not die only in this life. I hope this helps in some small way

To Steven's Dad: Your pain is so vividly portrayed in the poem you wrote. I pray for you and your family to find peace and acceptance at this difficult time. Your son sounds like an amazing young man. May he provide you comfort from above. God bless.
