Vasco...your mom was one of a kind. I always enjoyed hanging with her when she was in DC. She was always full of life and great cheer. Her legacy will live on in her deeds. With a career in civil rights, no doubt Mrs. Smith- was aware of what's recorded at Isaiah 2:4...that God "will render judgement among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples, and they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore." Her actions and strides in her career pointed toward this solution that God promises to make a reality for mankind.
