Dear Mr. & Mrs. Robertson-
I just posted a remembrance of Nick to the comments section of Wilson's blog post and I thought that I'd share it with you and the other guests here...

Hello Mr. and Mrs. Robertson...I just want to say that I am thinking about you today and do so often. I thank you for your wonderful son and all he did for us. My son is Marshall David Stewart who was in Nick's group in Afghanistan and visited you in Maine with the other soldiers. My heart goes out to you on this Veterans Day. Please take care.

Mr. And Mrs. Robertson,
My name is SFC Jason M. Hazelton. I am the SF Medic for ODA 3324 that was there with your son on the ground that fateful day. My deepest condolences goes out to you and your family. Your son fought and died bravely on the battlefield. I am sorry that I have not contacted you earlier. I wish that there was something more I could have done that day to keep Nick here with us today. I am attempting to visit Nick's grave during the week of Sept 18-20. If at all possible I would like to visit you also. Nick was an outstanding soldier and man. I am proud to have had the honor of serving along side him. He will always be remembered. De Opresso Liber

Mr. & Mrs. Robertson,

I remember Nick everyday as I wear this bracelet on my arm. I will never forget his great smile the last time I saw him in Afghanistan.

Nancy and I would like to thank all who have entered their thoughts and prayers in the Guest Book for our son Nick. We enjoy seeing the stories from his friends, and the thoughts and prayers from those he had touched in his college days or during his Army career. Thank you all for your thoughtfulness. Nick, I'll always remember you. I was amazed at your abilities, with language and generally your intelligence, with music, with interactions between individuals and your sensitivity and understanding. You were so blessed with talent it would have been annoying if not for your humility. You were a great man and a great friend and I love you.
